The Essentials of Starting a Business (ESB) programme was developed by ACRA to provide aspiring entrepreneurs with all the essential information they need for starting a business in Singapore.
The ESB is an online interactive programme consisting of 3 bite sized modules. It will take about 2 hours to complete all the modules including the learning activities. The programme also contains key information that new business owners will need to know from the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore, Central Provident Fund Board, Personal Data Protection Commission of Singapore, SME Centre and SMECEN.
If you are unable to complete the programme at one go, you may continue from where you stopped by logging in using the same User ID (email address) and Password.
Once you have completed the programme and a short survey, you may download the Certificate of Completion from the ‘View Progress’ page (under Course Summary) and print a copy for your records.
Introduction The Directors Training Programme (DTP) is developed by ACRA specifically for company directors (aspiring, new and existing). It is part of ACRA’s efforts to raise directors’ awareness about their duties and responsibilities. Programme Details The programme consists of 5 bite sized modules and it will take about 2 hours to complete all 5 modules. The programme consists of engaging and interactive content and learning activities such as games, case studies and quizzes. By completing this programme, you will learn about: The Office of a Director Directors’ Duties Directors’ Responsibilities under the Companies Act Directors’ Responsibilities in Other Relevant Areas such as Filing Corporate Income Tax Returns, Workplace Safety and Health, and Contributing to CPF for Employees Improving the Company’s Productivity In case you have to stop the programme at any time, you can later return to where you stopped and continue with the programme, by logging in using the same User ID (email address) and Password. Once you have completed the programme and a short survey, you can download the Certificate of Completion from the ‘View Progress’ page (under Course Summary) and print a copy for your records.
This Proficiency Test is prescribed under regulations 5A and 5B of the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (Filing Agents and Qualified Individuals) Regulations 2015.You must only attempt this Proficiency Test after attending the prescribed Anti-Money Laundering/Counter Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) course conducted by the Chartered Secretaries Institute of Singapore (CSIS) or the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA).
